weird, the hdmi port actually connect to my appletv, so i suspect it is cable problem, then i tested it by going back to home screen, the problem is still there. after changing cable then everything works fine now. why the hdmi cable can affect the home screen, is this normal?

Faulty hdmi cable can disrupt the signals in between.

If it’s still under their warranty, they’ll come to your house and fix it on-site.

I did mine a while back, one smaller tv I sent to their shop, and then another bigger tv they came to my house. You can google around and find which one is the nearest to you. All these repairmen have similar services, i.e. either you send to them, or they come to your house with extra fees.
