QUOTE
On December 26, 2004, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 9.1 struck off the west coast of North Sumatra, Indonesia, triggering a devastating tsunami that affected several countries, including Penang, Malaysia. The waves, reaching up to 9.8 feet high, caused significant damage along the northern coast of Penang, particularly in areas like Batu Ferringhi, Balik Pulau, and Kuala Muda2. The disaster claimed the lives of 67 people in Malaysia, with 52 of those deaths occurring in Penang.

One of the most heartwarming stories from that day involved a 22-day-old baby, S. Thulaashi, who was swept away by the waves but miraculously returned to shore on a mattress, still asleep. This baby, known as the "Tsunami Miracle Baby," became a symbol of hope amidst the tragedy.

Will never forget how insensitive western news media can be. Casualties were in hundreds of thousands in Sumatra, and there were mass graves... having to use bulldozers to scoop and lay the bodies into the dug graves. And this scene was shown on tv worldwide. Whereas in the 9/11 tragedy, not a single body shown on tv.
