It is true. Big malls have big mall place. But malls inside a township, if it is made smaller, would be more comfy and homey feeling that large industrial sized malls. The Old Jaya feels a little cramp and somewhat confusing. But that is the main attraction really. That circular stairs just in front of the main door really meant something as there was nothing else like it.
Another homey feeling mall is Amcorp Mall. People still go there not because it has lots of knick knack shops. But the left side and right side shops feel near and visible, giving a feeling of easy to reach. You don't get that dreaded feeling of needing to walk so far just to get across. The lighting are not super bright either.
