CSAM in Malaysia is too broad of a term if you think it objectively.

I don’t think it’s fair to treat real world minors as the same as fictional characters because it will end up trivialising the real issue.

Porn or obscene material is banned in Malaysia. If you are caught with adult porn or porn which involved fictional cartoon characters. You should go to jail or fined according to the related law.

To group real children with fictional characters is quite frankly, overreach on governments part. It doesn’t help curbing the most important part, Real living child who is exploited.

But it doesn’t mean that I’m comfortable leaving kids with those enjoying loli content.
