Currently my neighbour (shoplot, downstair) is sharing his internet with me. And I'm using an range extender to extend the coverage because my location is quite far from the router. (See diagram below)

But unfortunately, even with the extender, the connection is not that good. I think it is because the extender is still far from the router.

I'm planning to add another extender that is closer to the router and daisy chain it with existing extender. Is this possible?

Also don't expect the connection to be smooth.

You are doing it wrong.

If you dont believe, try placing your current extender this way.

Unfortunately, the lower floor is my neighbor and I can’t place my own extender there 😅

Use mesh solution instead of range extender

Range extender don't really have backhaul management, daisy chain them would just give you an inconsistent connection, I don't think it will be better than what you have now

Pull a LAN cable to the router and run your own AP.

every time you repeat the signal wirelessly you cut the connection in half

using repeaters like this will significantly compromise your connection speed

using a cable will be the best solution

two-hop can cut the speed abit.

1. lan cable from router to your wifi ap/range extender
2. place range extender at the strongest wifi signal area, and connect lan cable from that RE to your room or to another RE
