TIPS:

I think the thread starter only wants to share something K10D users will be concern at. Although it's Chinese, it doesn't mean that it shall be closed, since I don't see how people can be offended by this thread.

If any K10 user who doesn't understand Chinese and is concern about this problem, PM me and I shall lend a hand.

I don't know what's your problem?

Can't u see it's a copy & paste?

It's so freakin long, how to give a detailed translation?

If you can't read chinese, u can either learn or move on.

Instead of raising language & racial issues.

English translation:

If K10D doesn't have this slanted problem, it's a great camera, but until now Pentax still does not have a solution to this problem. We hope Pentax could fix this problem, and extended 3 years warranty to gain back customer confidence.

New buy could follow the instructions below on inspection. If there's no such problem or the problem is minor, K10D is still a good camera.

First, use 30 sec to snap a photo, to check if slanted problem exist.

The most bottom photo is the Test Sheet; there are two dots on the sheet, match the dots with viewfinder's bottom, snap a photo, and look at either LCD preview of monitor, check if the dots are parallel to the photo bottom datum. Since the viewfinder covers 95% view, these 2 dots will be located near the bottom of the photo.

Photo horizontal shifting test, take a photo on your door, match both side of your door equally against the viewfinder, since the viewfinder only covers 95%, the photo will show equally same gap on both side of the door. If it's a faulty camera (or manufacturer fixed unit with software), Left side will have larger gap than the right side. Vertical shifting can be tested with the same method.

Note:
1. This test method is able to detect the defect as soon as you take the photo. Just ensure both dot has the same gap between it and the bottom of the photo displayed.
2. Use tripod if you can, shut of the anti-vibration feature, and use 2 sec delayed capture.
3. If you have been using your K10D for 3 months and didn't notice any defect, then you can choose to skip this test since it's not bothering you anyway.
4. This problem is mot caused by the act of pressing shutter. Base on collected data, all slanting were left side higher than right side.

If you found your camera having this problem, welcome to the team, don't be sad, and proceed to finish the following content.

--- That's all for now ---
