LG has now officially discontinued its Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray players, as reflected on LG's online portals and confirmed by multiple sources to FlatpanelsHD.

LG has not launched any new optical disc players since 2018, when it introduced the UBK80 and UBK90 UHD Blu-ray players. This same is true for other major brands such as Panasonic and Sony.

Maybe technically true. But Panasonic launched the DP-UB450 in the US only in the last 12 months, even though the model has been available elsewhere BUT MALAYSIA. So mixed signals but at the very least Panasonic knows there's a market for a mid-entry 4K player.

You can buy them on Amazon US for RM760 and send it to Malaysia with free shipping (plus prepaid import tax). This is the one with the HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision.

They were never any good anyways, so good riddance.
