Just come across this from its official store.
The pormotion price is dirt cheap.
Anyone try before?
They sell their oil filter as well.
Is bosch product reliable and quality?

lazada

shopee

Update: 01.05.25
Bought 7 set of bosch engine oil and filter during previous 1111 sale. After discount 93++ per set including delivery to my house.

Changed it myself for 1 and now the 2nd time , clocking in 13000km now.
Performance all seem like comparable to my original honda engine oil 0w20.

10w40, so thick.

0w20 is the most expansive in their engine oil range.
And it is now only their put up to sell and on sale now. RM92/bottle after vouchers...
I wonder their quality.
Been using their iridium sprak plug, about 150 cheaper compare to original. Same quality as original.

For a 18 year old car u want to use such thin oil meh? doh.gif Been using the grade for so long, don't see the need to go lower.
Plus it's the car manufacturer recommended viscosity, so no worries there hmm.gif

If TS took care of the vechile and car manufacturer recommended the vistocity, it can use the same viscocity oil.
My Kelisa from day 1 until now almost 15 years with 250k on meter still using same 5W-30 oil.

bro, no matter how old is the car, lower 0w or 5w is still better, you need to google on how thin or thick 0w vs 10w really is, not much of differences, 0w OR 5w is good for all ages of car due to how good at flow especially on cold start. the 1 that make the differences more is the back. 0w20 vs 0w40

For my car engine, the car manufacturer already suggest/recommended 10w/40 engine oil so i rather stick with the manufacturer suggestion, plus i don't see much reason wasting my money buying more expensive engine oil grade just for the heck of it. sweat.gif sweat.gif
Besides it's a known fact that using thinner viscosity engine oil on older engines won't really do much good especially when the engine never had done a total overhauled (eg: replacing piston rings etc) due to u may see higher engine oil loss overtime from engine oil seeping into the combustion chamber. hmm.gif

Api sp 0w20 is the most expansive among the brand.
I am getting it around rm95 togather with it oil filter.
Guess i am going to change my oil earlier 10k km. Haha
Outside workshop all quote me about rm230. Sc always charge me close to 200++ too.
I thk i can save about 300-400 per year....

it's better if the engine is in good condition however using what recommended by manufacture is still recommended. It's mostly viscosity we are talking about and how it flow, from 10w-30 to 5w-30 is good if the engine is in good condition as the oil will flow faster and better at reaching all parts of the engine when it's cold, however 10w30 to 15w30 is it not! recommended at all.

there is a lot of talking, discussing regarding this topic, you need to read more. "Dont pandai pandai"

The number before w30 have negligible meaning in our temperature.
Gv me conclusive evidents that 10w30 have substantial flow which benefits the engine compared to 15w30 in our country's temperature.
As i have researched before, there is negligible different in our weather.

Platform and bosch alltogather give me rm90 discount for 2 set of oil n filter. Yesterday i go in and c, sold out.

I use bosch double iridium spark plug for rm200 during sale. My ori ngk rm340 . Till date ald 1 year in usage clock in 30k km. The performance and quality are same.
Now i am aiming to get bosch jazz spark plug for my honda city because their referral code are same. LoL

Weather is not the concern nowadays, the main thing for most car manufacturer nowadays is fuel economy. Thus why you can see newer hybrids used 0w-16. For local Perodua, i believe the newer Axia, Myvi & Bezza also using 0W-20 already, even Toyota Vios also i heard the same. Coz the lower viscocity, the more "watery" the fluid and lighter the car feel and drive, this will help especially driving in small town or city area a lot. But for sure this will need to refer back to the car manufacturer engine design/requirement, for older engine type if they are design to stick with 5W-30 or 20W-50 just stick with it as changing to even lighter viscosity might increase the chances of oil leak or burn out.

I agree that the smaller number after w flows better than bigger number in operating temp. However car engines are designed with different tolerances. Using too thin oil will have inadequate protection for engine designed for thicker oils.

Anyway always follow manufacturer recommdations first, then only use the thinnest oil in the recommendation range if engine still ok.

Newer spec

From chatgpt

API SN
An older category that provides higher performance than other "S" oils. SN Plus is a supplement to API SN that helps protect against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).

API SP
The latest API service category, which includes the performance properties of earlier categories. API SP oils are designed to meet the demands of modern engine technology, such as gasoline direct injection (GDI), turbocharging, and gasoline particulate filters (GPFs).

Many years back when upgrading from API SL to SM, some hardcore users unwillingly stay with API SL, I think they claimed the reduction in Zinc content to meet stringent API SM to protect the catalyst converter was not good for engine protection...

always interested to buy this brand 0w20 from many months ago, but they dont have 5L bottles nor 1 L bottle on shop, as my car need 4.5L each change.
so resolve it to Mizu 0w20 Fully synthetic, bought 4L + 1L less than rm100 after rebates

nowadays technology many brand sold is the Ester based/ formulated oil. does it works better than normal fully synthetic? Mizu one is Ester

Already done my service, to me it's good so far, notice lower engine noise somewhat, though that maybe because just recently serviced.
Engine feel lighter a bit too from a stop, comparing to my old engine oil brand. Basically pleased so far with the purchase, will buy again later for future usage. thumbsup.gif
