QUOTE(Zhik @ Dec 12 2024, 12:41 PM) Sn-sp? What is the different? Anyway, i just pull trigger. Newer spec From chatgpt API SN An older category that provides higher performance than other "S" oils. SN Plus is a supplement to API SN that helps protect against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI). API SP The latest API service category, which includes the performance properties of earlier categories. API SP oils are designed to meet the demands of modern engine technology, such as gasoline direct injection (GDI), turbocharging, and gasoline particulate filters (GPFs).

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Dec 14 2024, 03:09 PM) Always go for latest api, good for the engine Many years back when upgrading from API SL to SM, some hardcore users unwillingly stay with API SL, I think they claimed the reduction in Zinc content to meet stringent API SM to protect the catalyst converter was not good for engine protection...

What is the advance and benefit sp bring to old car? Old car doesnt have the features like those new one such as turbocharger, etc.
