All this comments about Tan Chong going bankrupt are just rumours or speculation. I see they are still going strong. Of course we wont' know what's behind the curtains or what the top management are doing or cooking things up but as far as I see, they will continue to exist. Other car distributors such as Honda and Toyota are not doing too goo either since the Chinese cars have taken over by storm as the Japanese are losing ground (sales). Basically all brands are affected and not only Nissan (Tan Chong). As far as I know Honda Malaysia is struggling too.

Yes I am aware of that. Actually both Tan Chong and Nissan are not doing too well. Yes, you are right that Tan Chong has started to take other cars to sell here recently, if I'm not mistaken some Chinese cars. If just relying on Nissan vehicles I think they would close shop sooner. Previously they have the upmarket D and C segment Teana and Sylphy, now all are chopped off and now left with Almera only other than the the MPV mentioned on this thread and the new Kicks e-power. The Leaf EV won't be able to compete with the Chinese EVs due to price factor.

I have not been following Nissan on the global stage and the last time I read they are close to bankrupt with very few new models launch. Basically it's all inter-related. If Nissan dies, Tan Chong also dies since TC is predominantly representing Nissan.
