Hello,

I just have a question. Planning to take MBBS however the requirement needed you to have all 3 sciences subjects during SPM. I have Physics and Chemistry, but not Biology.

Planning to take Biology as private candidate, but the thing that bothers me is that how are you supposed to do the practical paper 3 if you never even been in Biology labs ? I just don't understand why they did not offer alternative to practical like IGCSE did.

I took SPM in 2018, theres no practical even for Phy & Chem during my time. I don't want to option for IGCSE since its very expensive when I can just take SPM Biology for like RM30.

Planning to take in Dec'25 SPM, is 1 year sufficient enough for me to learn all the practicals available without actually have experience of touching any labs equipments ? I'm just very anxious, don't want to look clueless and embarassed, cuz I know if we skip paper 3 then our whole Bio paper will be failed.

SPM Paper 3 since KBSM syllabus has always been the "alternative to Practical".

I don't think the Experiment List from KSSM practical has much changed.
Since the content remained 90% the same.

I guess not many changes to the experiment. If you have the Reference Book from KBSM syllabus is already sufficient to pass all your practical.

You can see how IGCSE/O-Level/A-Level Biology Syllabus conduct their experiment to get a rough idea what type of exams can be conducted in the High School Settings.

One year is sufficient to cover all if you study everyday. When I compare the content definitely back then was way easier because recently they have include a lot of stuff inside. I never learned that during my time

No need take biology at SPM level.

The Malaysian Medical Council states that if you have higher level of Biology - ie: A-Levels/STPM/Degree level Biology. U are exempted from requiring SPM level biology.
