Hi everyone,

I’m seeking your advice and opinions! My team and I are planning to open a second branch of our baby shop in Klang Valley, and we want to choose a location that’s accessible, family-friendly, and has a good demand for baby products.

Some key considerations we have:

Demographics: Areas with a high number of young families.
Accessibility: Ease of access via major highways or public transport.
Competition: Balanced competition, not overly saturated with similar stores.
Commercial Activity: Areas with bustling shopping districts or malls.
We’re considering places like Subang Jaya, Puchong, or Setapak, but we’re open to any suggestions.

If you have insights, recommendations, or experience with these areas (or others!), I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks in advance for your help! 😊

Physical retail outlets not very feasible nowadays due to high rentals, human resource issues, thefts, holding costs etc. Why not build an online presence first and move on from there. Eg came across a few baby product companies started by doing aggressive online marketing followed by roadshows and later products are sold in retail outlets due to brand recognition. Super effective marketing, no need to open any physical outlet, those malls come and ask you to put your products there.
