Hi guys. I did a search on Reddit / Google, but mat salleh don't use tarps like us. We tarp to keep out of the sun and use it as cooking/lepak area.

I plan to upgrade from present square 3x3 tarp. The idea is 4x3 might be more ideal.

My question is: what type of tarp do you prefer and why?

I'm thinking of gettign a catenary cut because I think it will be more taut than square or hex, but not as taut as octogon.

Thoughts?

1. Square/Rectangle

TS get rectangle... octagon is difficult to use. 5x3m is good.

I'm using 3F from China, tahan lasak and not hot under the sun.
String point is very important. Nature hike is quite hot under the sun, without double layer.
