Living with neighbours can sometimes be challenging as not all of them are understanding or easy to get along with.

An entire street in Cheras was handed a whopping RM30,000 fine no thanks to several residents warring with each other over parking spaces along the street.

According to a report by China Press, the dispute arose when one of the residents expressed dissatisfaction over their neighbours reserving parking spaces for themselves by placing plastic barriers in front of their homes.

A complaint was later lodged with the Kajang Municipal Council, who then proceeded to issue a warning to the units involved.

However, the conflict proved to be far from over when one of the neighbours lodged their own complaint with the Kajang City Council, this time about cars being parked in front of their house.

It didn’t take long for enforcement officers to turn up, where they handed out fines totalling RM30,000 for street parking towards every resident living along the street two weeks ago.

Wanting to resolve the conflict within the residents amicably, city councillor Tan Kah Hoe dropped by to know more about the situation but was dismayed by the lack of understanding displayed by them.

"There were other places available for parking. The issue isn’t a lack of parking spaces but the unwillingness to compromise. They argued for over an hour."

“As for those who got hit with the fine, they can request for it to be waived by producing their utility bills to prove that they live there,” he said when interviewed by China Press.

Tan also reminded residents to practice mutual understanding and tolerance with their neighbors, adding that actions taken by enforcement officers wouldn’t benefit anyone.

This what happens when almost half of the taman penduduk go to parking war with each other.

Hate when neighbour buys so many cars, 1 people to 1 or more cars.

Their cars park all over the road.

Well most landed house nowadays mostly minimum got 2k resolution CCTV, i mean my car porch alone already got 3 camera 2 pointing out one pointing inside is very easy to tell specific targeted or just a random case.

Unwritten rule la, land infront of a house the owner can park and dun go and park at other ppl house area.

yes can because road rules still applies.
Usually local council very understanding and close one eye.
They only go saman when got people start complain.

Good, you not involved punish the fella also, let it be a warning to others that you don't simply complain to council. Fucker just giving more unnecessary work to do.
