Sorry guys, bt i think the top scorer of English Premier League Season 07/08 will be DIDIER DROGBA of Chelsea football club. That is if he stays and continue his professional career in Chelsea and do not leaves chelsea during the January winter transfer window smile.gif

My guesses are van Persie, Fabregas, Cristiano Ronaldo or Wayne Rooney to top the list.

And second maybe Drogba because the lack of appearance lately.

I'm a lil sceptical on Drogba. His mind doesn't seem to be in Chelsea. I'm going for Van Persie.

For me its either vPersie or Drogba. But most likely Drogba as most of Chelsea's goal comes from him.

Lampard maybe wont score that much but probably will be assist king. smile.gif So is Fabs.

actually ... i think we have to consider many things like injury, african nation cup, suspensions, rotation, form and others ... who knows this week EPL game Drogba gonna injured badly and have to rest for entire seasons ... unsure.gif ... so the conclusion is ... too subjectives .. anyone have their chances icon_rolleyes.gif

I doubt that Benjani could be top scorer. But anything could happen in the EPL. The same thing say about Kevin Phillips when Sunderland was promoted when he turned out to be the top scorer that season.

I would have to say Drogba. HE is the one most likely to score for Chelsea, unless they do something in the January transfer. For Man Utd the goals will be spread accross all the talents that we have.

i think we should split the category...from top scorer as in striker category, middfielder category and defender...abit unfair if we compare middfielders over strikers or strik over defenders..unless this is to rate TOP goalscorer only..lets categorize them abit shall we biggrin.gif

striker: van persie if he doesnt get injured otherwise drogba

middfielder: lampard or fabregas

defender: this i cant tell...defenders like mu vidic, evra, arsenal toure, chelsea defenders
most likely i would say MU defenders to get the most goals..vidic in particular(nightmare for defenders to go againts corners, free kicks..he really gets up to the ball to well...to determine this bugger

Really close between the three. All had brilliant seasons for their respective clubs. This season is promising to be the best yet for the neutral fan, in terms of which club wins the league and who scores the most.

Adebayor's form correlates directly with his hair...hehehehehehehe...cut his hair, goals also cut down...

Judging by form, I reckon it's gonna be Torres and Cristiano Ronaldo...

My bet, Torres.

Off course you bet for torres. i am bet for C.Ronaldo. flex.gif

you could say that... but u're comparing a striker and a winger... so ... the striker should score more.. unless...benitez suddenly like.. lets rotate the team again..huhuhu...

do that mean MU striker sucks because a winger score more than a striker? whistling.gif

c.ronaldo, lampard and even gerrard (not this season) score more than their own club striker, it depend on manager tactics and the player themselves.

I don't think this weekend game can be any indicator. After all it is one game only. There would be about 9 games left. Anything can happen from now right to the end of the season. What happen if Ronaldo picks up an injury after this game and be out of the season.

its gonna be between torres and ronaldo..
torres became the 1st liverpool player in 12 years to score 20 league goals and ronaldo is 1 goal short of george best's record..
both of them have some history to write, so they will go and fight for it to the end..

In Man Utd, Ronaldo is special and so do the other players. Ronaldo can be a winger and swithcable to a striker anytime. Rooney can be a striker or a playmaker, Tevez as well. They're creating and scoring goal by that way depends on opposition team whether they can read confusion made by us as a team or not..

It doesn't matter if Gary Neville or Jamie Carragher win the top scorer,if their teams don't win anything come the end of the season, it means NOTHING. purely academic.

He'll get at least another 2 goals in EPL & hopefully some in Europe before the end of season, of course I'll rather exchange Man Utd win the Euro without him scoring any.
