Hi all, wanna check if possible to setup the Apple Watch for my son which don’t have a phone yet? I saw they mentioned about setting up as Family, but how do i activate the cellular? Thank you.

Maybe don't? That's creating unneeded attention to your child coz it's unusual for child to have expensive devices.

Omg, it's even scarier to think that people can easily profile you through your kids with what they're wearing. Kidnapping would also be a possibility. Stop thinking Apple devices are life saving devices. There are many more devices out there that could work the same way but just without the Apple logo. Safer that way.

Thanks for the advice, i did think of other devices like from Xiaomi but i realized it’s quite hard to block incoming calls as most of our cellular numbers are recycled. On the other hand, the design of Apple watch is kinda common now, will just get some cartoon casing should be okay.

Can your kid wear it to school?

The only apple thing I will pun on my child is perhaps an airtag.

We planning to let him wear only during his swimming classes or when we are outside, not for school.

Apple Watch its not viable because frequently need to charge best just use an apple tag or samsung tag.
