Last year they also do the same trick. When you pay 200 to get the early bird voucher of 400, you will get extra wireless charger. If I remember correctly, those ordering without early bird voucher will end at the same price but won't be getting the wireless charger.

As of past history with magic 5 & 6 pro, it's not laku. The price will drop to bottom low at Q4 of the year to clear the stock. Can consider to wait if not rush to get a new phone.

If really need the phone urgently then can consider to get it through early bird as you will be getting extra wireless charger. The price is not bad considering it's's one of the cheapest phone with tof scanner.

The phones seems good, latest CPU, latest battery tech and camera seems to be good. I feel that oppo find x 8 can't compare.
If you overlook the CPU aside vivo 200 pro is a good to compare for now.

as for price drop, not just HONOR phones but basically most other stuff, we can generally expect better price when there's a new model, etc...

iinm, another use of the TOF is the improved performance at night. i can actually unlock the phone fairly well in dark areas. those phones with just front cam (no extra TOF)... same place, harder to unlock and i usually end up unlocking with fingerprint instead for those phones.

Lol, my understanding is not laku but it is kind of subjective. The laku flagship in Malaysia are fruits and Sammy s ultra series. Others brand volume actually so so only. It's reflected in the availability of accessories.

Yup I agreed that most brand will drop to bottom low price somewhere in q4 as plenty of new model launch every year. For eg the lowest I have seem for s24 ultra is around 3.6 to 3.8 for 256 model.

Pricing wise no doubt magic series seem more cost effective but the updating speed and software experience I think Sammy will be better. In the end it's up to everyone budget.

also nowadays not much diff between performance and usability of a 2 yrs old flagship versus the latest. minuscule evolutionary improvement so can wait easily 2-3 generation to upgrade
