In my ofis got 1 w10 required ie browser to run.
Somehow yday suddenly it auto switch to edge
Icon still ie but when click it'll open edge
Google few solutions:
- set default browser to IE
- disable 3rd party extension
- rename BHO folder
- del files in BHO folder

But all above steps are still not working. Any idea?

you have already been given many many years to move off IE and use something more modern

rewrite your ancient ActiveX script to something more modern

if you must, there is still one weird way to launch IE, works even on windows 11

Search "Internet Options" in the taskbar search bar
it will open an old control panel window
from there, find "Programs" in the top bar and then "Manage Add-Ons"
from the new window that pops up, select "Learn more about toolbars and extensions"
it will launch a page in IE
open a new tab and close that page

I understand that predicament. Some older CCTV systems also cannot make use of Chrome. Some website that does not want to upgrade their systems also have this problem. One last hope for you.

In Edge you can use these IE in Chrome engine like Edge. It used to be free. But i think Trial version exists. It it works then have to pay. Else you try to find jack sparrow of it.

Since it is 2 week trail, you could uninstall and reinstall IE tab to get another 2 weeks until they stop this. (based on some guide).
