B650 motherboards in Malaysia are still way overpriced! Can get identical board on Amazon and Shopee (Japanese dealer) - both brand new at significant discounts (300-500). Both have return policies. There is warranty cover as well.

Personally I've seen MSI MAG B650M MORTAR mainboards go as low as RM767 during sale periods. Current prices are at rm 890 or rm1100.

Yup, prices gone up donno why.. Bought my Giga B650M Aorus Elite AX for around RM800ish Oct 2023, now the same mobo is selling for RM1.2k

All boards since B660/Z690 or B550/X570 these days are overpriced.

To be fair it's also worth noting that their functionalities are moved up a notch; some of these boards are much closer to a Z/X board in terms of VRM and feature set

Eg: you can now buy a B650 board with WiFi 6E, and enough VRM to power the entirety of Ryzen CPUs with little problem for a good price:
