Is the ‘Daftar Kematian’ or ‘Register of Death’ used as official death certificate? It’s a form with no. Siri on top right, handwritten and signed off by the Medical Officer.

Had a death in family and was told by my aunt to go JPN to declare and get death certificate, but I thought this was it. Are there two separate things?

If deceased passed away in hospital, then this "ROD".

If deceased passed away at home, u need to call ambulance or doctor to come & certify the death. Subsequently a family member need to go nearest balai polis & lodge report. Balai with issue a temporary death cert.

Either one bring to JPN, along with the deceased's Mykad.

If Cina, the JPN part usually handle by the funeral service provider.

Now Funeral Service cannot do now for Chinese.

i'm surprised the hospital or the doctor that certified the death didn't tell you what to do next or what did he handed to you

My grandma death experience

We follow 1st method

After she die in hospital, doctor will give reason why she die etc etc, then the aunt go take the ic and go to the police station and get the death certificate, it took few day



other say go JPN , this one i have zero experience
