Hello guys...I`m having this problem for months now

For unknown reason surfing or downloading with my PC is a hassle for me. Even simple task as googling or opening gmail....I had to refresh page over and over again...

But other devices ( phone / tab ) seems had no problem with internet connection.....already tried using both PC and phone at the same time......night and day difference...

already resetting my PC internet connection with cmd method like this guide :-

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/D1B4D4Vw7ok?app=desktop

so far not working

already call TM....the only thing they can do is reset port / ask me to turn off modem + router

also I change to new modem as last resort...asus brand.....no difference at all....

What`s the other option guys ???

Note : excuse for my basic english btw

Update : problem solved..... probably??? Formatting my PC last night.....blazing fast internet...no internet disruption whatsoever...

Dunno which component in windows causing this though...thanks anyway guys for suggestions......

hmm, sounds like PC side hardware problem... try the following if you can:
- change physical internet port. you might need an expansion card or USB type to test it
- change internet cable
- update/reinstall adapter driver

just spit-balling here... hope it helps...

my questions is
How far is your computer with the router when you're using wifi?

what speed you get on speed test?does it meet the promised speed by your isp?(both cable & wifi)

are you using stock router? how many devices are connected at the same time?

WiFi or Internet card for desktop is no more than RM20 I think. You can buy to verify if your desktop has hardware issue.

either wired or wifi, not both at same time.

if on wired, check the speed of your connection - are you getting full 1Gbps or 100Mbps. If youre getting the latter then change your LAN cable to CAt5e or above.

do this first, wifi is another beast to troubleshoot.

Please try the following CMD for further troubleshooting :-

1. ping www.google.com --> What is the response time ?

2. ping 8.8.8.8 --> What is the response time ?

3. nslookup www.google.com --> How many Servers response until reach Google's server ?

4. tracert www.google.com --> How many hops & the time when it reach Google's server ?

5. ipconfig /all --> What is the DNS address ?

Physical checking :-

6. What is the NIC (LAN Cable) speed shown (eg. 100Mbps or 1 Gigabit) ?

7. What is the frequency of the Wifi (eg. 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz) ?

8. Check if the LAN cable is T568A or T568B type on both end ? --> This is to confirm you are using the correct cable, Google it for reference.

9. Clear browser history, cookies, cache etc.

10. Disable any browser extensions.

11. Check any expired anti-virus or disabled anti-virus (eg. Avast, Avira etc.) but leave the default Windows Defender enabled (if still works).

12. Disabled any unused background apps, such as Teams, Steam etc. from auto-start when PC boots-up.

13. Run System Cleanup.

14. Run Defrag & Optimize.

15. Run chkdsk /F --> To scan HDD and auto repair it (fix).

If all still fails, do a fresh reformat & reinstall, but you need to backup all your data first.

Hope this helps... cool2.gif

How far is your pc is from your router? Also are they in different floor?

You should add mesh or repeater.

If you have another pc/laptop can test using the same network cable us use to check whether ist cable problem or your pc network card or settings problems.

Try booting your pc in safemode with network ant test your connections again

It seems that many users may have overlooked where the original poster mentioned the issue occurring on both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.
Given that, this sounds more like a Windows-related issue than a network one.

I’d recommend considering a full reformat of your PC as a potential solution.

Could you also provide the complete hardware specifications for your PC? This information would be helpful for diagnosing the issue further.

Chances are infected by malware, network settings or driver issue.

Well my case is same like yours. But this is a brand new PC. It had internet problem since new.

So decided to change USB Wi-Fi adapter. That did not help.

So i used my old PCIE Wifi adapter and still could not get stable internet connection.

Final method is reformat PC and it solved my problem.

I believe some remnants of Applications is still running, causing internet slow connections.
