 New HRV 2022 Sport Spring

Eibach vs Tein vs H&R?


Ayam noobies in car mod, cant decide to go with which brand. Planning pair with stock absorber first cuz car still new (less than 6 months). What else should consider first before install the sport spring? I only want to lower my car and improve handling & cornering. confused.gif

Any of the brands will do, just make sure its a genuine product, but between those 3, eibach would be the best

1st question, your warranty still intact or not? If you still got warranty please do not simply modify! Any modification will void the warranty and especially Honda famous steering rack issue and lower arm bush you might just give Honda more reasons to reject your warranty claim due to aftermarket springs.

If you want better handling ride at first, you should try test drive Subaru XV or Mazda CX-3/30.

Yes correct , but ts is specifically asking if anyone have any information and experience regarding those 3 aftermarket spring and how will it effect the handling during cornering

And how much lowering does each of the spring effect the overall height of the car

For me , maximum lowering for all the spring is 30mm
NVH between should be the same since all is progressive spring

not that i could think of, so far been using stock with sport spring(on stiff side), original absorber kinda last long time, didn't need to replace it yet after more than 100k km

FYI, the wear & tear of the absorber will be more faster/shorten the lifespan especially with Honda absorbers they built in with a bush in it even fast gg.

Original absorbers are tune for normal height, if you ask those who do/modify absorbers they will tell you lowered spec. absorbers are different and usually got shorter center sub. Just imagine your original obsorber center sub is 30cm overall length (15cm at outside) and when you lowered the missing lenght will go into inner sub and it will hit the lower absorber part more easier and cause the in-famouse bush to crack and jam the inner valve.

For 30mm lowering , only minimal impact to the lifespan of the absorber

Nornal drive is ok, but when you hit pot hole or bumps at higher speed like on highway the 30mm will do a lot impact to the original absorbers. If want proper mod, get specific aftermarket absorbers with lowered/shorten lenght to match with the springs.

Yes correct, lower spring will stress much more of your absorber and suspension bushes

But factory suspension also would not last long if driver is not sensitive to road condition or speed bumps

And TS also need to look into wheels and tire to properly match the lowered suspension

Wide and low profile tyre with a 1 inch bigger than stock diameter wheels will make car look good and corner better

And.... brake pads , brake rotor and brake caliper for braking power to match TS spirited driving laugh.gif

Those are cosmetic stuff which is no impact, others impact with lowering is the lower arm link or anti-roll bar link as once lowered the original suspension geometry also will impact, thus why some aftermarket also come out shorter lower arm/ arb link to match the lowered height.
