When it comes to e-hailing services, most people will think of Grab. Well, it looks like we have another competitor in the market. According to sources, Bolt has already launched in Malaysia but without telling anyone.

The Bolt app is already listed online on the Apple App and Google Play Store. In fact, it was reported that Malaysian drivers have been invited to join Bolt since August. Tech in Asia was also informed that the services have been launched in Klang Valley, Kuala Lumpur. This will mark Bolt's 46th expansion globally, including Thailand in the Southeast Asia region.

Bolt is an e-hailing company from Estonia, Europe. Already licensed by the Land Public Transport Agency in Malaysia, it will be listed as Bolt Services MY Sdn Bhd and the website is also live now which can be viewed here. The Star also reported that several job roles were listed on LinkedIn since August this year, looking for a country manager.

In other foreign countries, Bolt also provides scooter and bike rentals, food and grocery deliveries, and car-sharing services. For now, it seems that Bolt will only offer e-hailing services in Malaysia. Perhaps in the future, the company will slowly expand its other services.
