Fuck this Expressway. So many ways to accidentally enter this shit expressway but the next exit is at least 10km or further. I've lost count how many times I accidentally entered this shit road. 2km journey turned into 22km journey mafaka ccb hkc.

I fucking hate how the roads in KL are like a giant ball of snakes having an orgy. Even the navigation apps get confused.

last time my elder bro came kl to visit me, waze panggil dia belok kiri to Kuchai exit, he masuk pula MEX exit. sekali bantai sampai cyberjaya and u turn balik. kesian.

Mon't Kiara penchala also the same. One wrong turn in Hartamas, will straight go to tunnel and pay double toll for u turn.

Always remember highways by their code, not just names. That's how I get into the right highways, also I memorise the road la when I see map, i.e. until X junction take what highway.

E20 is MEX iirc

E1 is Northbound NSE
E2 is Southbound NSE
E6 is ELITE
E10 is NPE
E11 is LDP

First exit keluar Sri Petaling. If jam sampai atas hiway, i terus go to serdang. If i reach Serdang exit from 5pm to 7pm i terus keluar Sibehjaya

I have to rely on Grab's Navigation when I do GrabFood. The only place I know better than the map is my home area. The roads in KL keep changing, even when I think I know the road, I'm wrong.

The problem with Grab's Navigation is quite often it just says Exit Left or Right, without any road numbers or names then I have to make a guess which exit to take. Recently they updated the app to make Grab's Navigation the default. If I want to use Google Maps, I need to click "Alternative Navigation" every single time. Even Google Maps sometimes just says Exit here without telling the road number or name.

So far I accidentally entered MEX at Pandan, Maluri, Sungai Besi. I admit I kena twice at Maluri la. Wasn't paying attention. Today I itchy wanna explore the road behind MyTown. See see I accidentally entered MEX. Fuck.

That highway in front of Empire City is another nightmare. That day I followed the map ngam ngam but still ended up going the wrong way. Like wtf? What is the correct way?

I once entered via BJ there, KESAS that stretch. Hard brake, stopped and checked for traffic then just rode against flow. I was just 100m past the entrance anyway. LOL! if not I gotta go all the way to Seri Kembangan there to exit back to BJ.

Kek I did that once during midnight. No traffic. Day time cannot la, traffic too fast.

I’ll say one legitimate criticism of mex which also applies to Highway along sg besi is that some exits are on the right most lane of the highway which is completely opposite to almost all other highways and dangerous since the right lane is the fastest traffic.

Kajang also have roads like this. Got one time map tell me enter the road then immediately cut right to make a u-turn. Almost kena langgar by speeding cars. After that block liao Kajang.

Nowadays I’m willing to travel an extra km or two just to avoid this kind of turning especially if I’m not already on the right lane when approaching

Last time only used Waze and noticed it always bring me through longer routes. Eg, I am familiar with that particular road, shop is just across the street but waze said to turn left and pusing here and there just to reach across. Gmap slightly better esp the overviews and the alternate routes are clearly displayed. Also no choice when driving overseas, Gmap the only one. Now playing with Petals

No la. It’s the cheapest method. Why build an expensive clover shape off-ramp for u turn when you can simply cut a hole in the highway divider?

Almost fucking died one night when I was driving at Sungai Besi. I was on the right lane and this lorry with no lights from the opposite lane made a u-turn and blocked my lane. Had to brake hard when my car's lights finally illuminated the lorry.

Now got massive mega tofu condo called trion or something plus a few others off chan sow Lin. Plenty of traffic coming from the south need to make right lane u turn liao at jln sg besi. Plus then cut across three lanes of high speed traffic within a few hundred meters after that.

Not u-turn at the roundabout?

Grab and waze always want you want you take the nearest route plus that round about is closed in the direction you shown. Need to go further

The one you drew in the first pic is what I was talking about. There is a u turn not shown on that map but is there. The route you show in the second pic is only possible if you are coming from pudu side.

here. the u turn is just after the section where sg besi and jln istana merge. after making the uturn u need to try your best to cut all the way left to jalan empat.





otherwise your only alternative is to go all the way up to jln pudu roundabout 2km ahead and then make a right turn towards velocity and then turn again into chan sow lin.


because they also closed the roundabout exit that lets you u-turn back to jln sg besi.

Another one is OKR heading to MV got a uturn and a right turn. Always makes me nervous, even though I turn on my signal early, cars still tailgate me seemingly unaware that I'm going to slow down for a turn.

For these turns I'll usually start tapping brakes lightly early. Let my brake light light up tailgaters face for 10+secs lol

Most videos I've seen, brake checks usually end up badly for moto.

this probably the worse and most dangerous design of them all. coming down besraya near nirwana building, suddenly there is a right turnout to kuchai. imagine you are the blue bezza driving hapily in left lane now need to make a cut all the way to the right. and the highway section leading up to this is a downhill blind corner (left sweep). daytime not so bad, night time, in rain ...

Not brake check. Light enough for brake lights to turn on but not braking.

Brake check on right lane is just asking for trouble.

Oh this one not a problem for me because I always use this turn. But I do see many cars trying to cut last minute. The lead up to this turn is also a corner which forces people to slow down. But for OKR going to MV, it's a straight line all the way where KBT will definitely be ricing like F1.

too many exits too close together and inconsistent patterns (some left some right), along with unhelpful/confusing signs, that's malaysian style spaghetti junctions for you. at least overseas spaghetti junctions got a system. the fact I see more and more cars reversing or stuck at the onramp divider waiting for a chance to cut back to the right road shows that even waze cant help much unless you already know the road beforehand.
