So they are quite reliable and durable for their price point ? Saw one on offer 50 inch for 1.3k, seems like their prices is very reasonable and affordable.

If you’re not hardcore user should be enough for the price you paid. My cousin is using this brand currently it’s works very well

Well i was expecting to change it after 2-3 years but it would seem it will last at least 7 years until the lcd panel defect become unbearable.

After 5 years the 4 corners got some slight black vignette but not tat obvious though.

TCL-csot is currently holding every samsung lcd patent at the moment and they probably hold samsung lcd manufacturing secrets too.
they are pretty much 1st tier lcd tv company now when it come to picture quality

I'm also looking for a cheap Chinese TV.

Afaik, hisense offers 3-year-warranty vs TCL's 2 years.

hisense mostly use ADS(IPS) panel for their lower size tv, avoid if possible
65 and above most likely VA panel.

also those vidaa os, where got people prefer those.

First you need to make sure it's actually TCL. Being a Chinese brand doesn't mean it's immune from being knocked-off, eg:

its mean that the tv have defect that should be noticed during break in period, but because the tv are not used, you didnt aware of the defect.

how long is break in period? around 1000 hours or so. which mean the tv need to run 10hours per day for 100 days.

well electronic is complicated, no one can guarantee every product is free from manufacturing defect.

thats why the product is backed by warranty, that should give enough time for manufacturer to fix any manufacturing defects case.

i did have a lcd monitor that i bought last 4 years, it came dead on arrival, i return back to the retailer they give option to get refund or upgrade to another model lol.
