So I am currently using a 13" MBP 2018 as my daily driver.

I am looking to upgrade and I am also welcome to Windows based laptop. I find switching between both not that big of a deal as I am mostly working on office suite type of software and most software that i use have MacOS and Windows versions.

I started with the new M4 14"MBP and I think the specs and price are around what i need. The weird thing is when I spec another machine up to similar specs with the MBP including stuff like screen resolution, RAM and storage, they end up being more expensive. Like at least 500 to 1k more. Only thing comparable is a ASUS ZenBook S14

Any other suggestions so far?

I’d take a look at the HP Spectre x360—it’s been my go-to for a Windows laptop, and I’ve found it to be a solid mix of performance and design without hitting the price of something like the XPS or ThinkPad. That said, if the M4 14" MBP is already giving you the specs you need and it’s coming in cheaper, I’d probably lean toward that, especially since macOS is hard to beat for battery life and resale value. The ZenBook S14 is solid too, but in my experience, it doesn’t quite offer the same polish as the MBP, especially if you’ve been used to Apple’s ecosystem.

Stick back to MBP.... you are already used to it, save you some headaches also.

And yes, sadly Framework are not available in MY... else I will have bought it too.

Yeah. Ended up with the base spec MBP. Worth every penny. Only thing is the ARM MBP is thicker and heavier than my intel MBP. Otherwise no complaints. Even got wine to work to run my small windows apps
