Looking for a fast answer bcs I think my car battery going to die soon. Just want to know if change Perodua Start/Stop battery at outside shop will the Start/Stop function still be able to use? Or recommend to change the battery at Perodua if still want to maintain the Start/Stop function?

The start stop feature will work with any battery. The difference is the n=battery for start stop feature is deep charge type (more expensive), thus it will make battery last longer. Every time I use my car, I just disable but for MyVi you need to disable it every time you start the car because it is momentary switch and car has no memory feature to remember.

You can buy normal battery but the shop told me that if you buy normal one the battery warranty will be cut to half, from 1 year to just 6 month. However, if you disable start stop, it will last like normal car without start stop feature too, I believe; if you don;t mind about warranty though. smile.gif

I read some people say if do outside the Start/Stop might not be able to use and need to take to PERODUA to reset the system??

This is not because of battery. If the car is off and battery is removed, all the setting in memory will be lost. Those experience workshop will connect external battery first before removing the bad battery. Some will just keep engine running during battery swap. Some say it is bad for the car but I think no problem. Mine the battery shop just keep engine running and change battery. I decided to use battery for start stop even though I always switch the feature off, since it is not much difference for me.

Ni feature bukan pasal jimat minyak. Motif utama ialah pencemaran udara. Europe start introduce.

so if I buy m42 battery which is meant for start/stop from outside shop it should work just fine? Bcs I do see comments around like post #19 saying the function is lost after changing the batt?
what brand did you change to?
Mine currently when I start the car the yellow A auto stop symbol will blink few times. From what I search people say this is 1 of the early sign of batt dying???

I change my battery at Battery Hub just because it was the one near my house open on Sunday. I could not recall the name but it is a Korean battery. No problem and it is almost a year now. No need to reset anything or lost anything. Just make sure the engine is running during the battery change.

I'm not sure about the blinking but I think it is always like that.During start or just power on, it is just self-test routine to check every function is working fine. If one of the light did not go off, then it is fault indication. Logically why need to have the Auto On/Off light blink few times to indicate battery problem when you have battery light indicator which makes more sense to show battery problem? smile.gif
