No personal experience with any AirPod, but planning to get the new AirPods 4 ANC for my mother. Is opting for Apple Care+ worth the additional premium for Apple’s wireless earbuds? What benefits does one get? Anyone here has any experience with actually using Care+ on a defective/broken AirPod?

i got uk applecare with loss but malaysia i dont think have

I know it’s for my mother who deserves what she wants, but as someone who always felt AirPods were overpriced, paying almost RM1k for basic open buds is a bit hard to stomach.

AirPods Pro 2 should be a better choice, with the new features such as hearing test, hearing aid & hearing protection. Should be perfect for your mom.
Wait for promo on shopee or lazada. I've got my AirPods pro 2 (usb-c) for around 850 previously during sales. You can add on the AppleCare even after you purchase the AirPods

I personally do not think AirPods are overpriced. My dad got the new buds pro with his fold and the sound quality can’t even challenge my first gen AirPods Pro

Your mom using iphone? If yes then its definitely the best in terms of seemless connectivity and audio quality.. Yes if not urgent, can wait for shopee or lazada where those authorized dealer have discounts and promos

Sorry, last question. If I purchase AirPods from an authorized reseller like Machines via Shopee and then get AC+ via Apple Malaysia, can I walk into a Machines outlet to make AC+ claims if I run into any issues inside the 2yrs of coverage, or do I have to liase directly woth Apple?

I think you should be able to walk in to any authorized premium reseller for warranty assistance
