If with fair price..
I saw china there able to produce..but still undergoing testing..
They claim that the original board itself actually 10 layers (6.5mm) which is very high standard...they simplify the board into 4 layer but even 4 layer still thicker than 10 layer....

I was planning to upgrade the ram too thinking double the ram for RM850 is not bad and then I realized that's only 8GB not 16GB for that price lol. Think I'm good on 16GB coz my task are all normal usages, maybe some video editing occasionally.

QUOTE(shyan90's @ Nov 29 2024, 10:21 AM)
8GB is minimum, 16gb is ok, 24gb future prove.
*
With this type of price, better just buy base model and upgrade to the next base model when the Mac Mini M5 is available, atleast that's my plan.

Yup. If you upgrade better use it for long term because it will be very hard to sell for upgraded unit - unless you sell at a huge loss.

May I know how to get instalment option from the education store? Cant find the option when i tried to checkout
*
QUOTE(muman7 @ Nov 29 2024, 10:14 AM)
I noticed the option for instalments only appear on normal website but not on edu even before the launched. Maybe you can contact your cc bank directly if the option is not there on checkout.

QUOTE(Skeuomorphic @ Nov 29 2024, 10:17 AM)
Instalment offers are only available to individual customers using consumer credit cards. Apple Employee EPP orders, Education Store orders, business purchases and institutional purchases are not eligible for this offer.

Can use Maybank 0% balance transfer if you have Maybank card. Spend it using other bank then transfer to Maybank for 0% 12 months

Anyone ordered more than 1 with edu acc? Thinking order another one.

I don’t know if one education account can make multiple purchase, never tried before. But I do know for sure you can make multiple apple accounts and use the same unidays verification account, as in the unidays is not tight to one particular apple account, it’s just used for verification.

The purchase limits for Apple Education in Malaysia are as follows:

Desktop: One per year
Mac mini: One per year
Notebook: One per year
iPad: Two per year
Accessories: Two accessories with Education Pricing per year

Not all products have special Education Pricing. Apple regularly audits purchases to ensure that only eligible customers have ordered and that all purchase conditions have been observed.
Apple's student discount is 10% for products, including computers, iPads, displays, and software, and 20% for AppleCare+.

Education Customers’ Audit Rights

Apple routinely audits the purchases of customers at the Apple Store to ensure that only eligible purchasers have ordered and that all purchase conditions have been observed. Should an audit disclose after delivery (or should Apple otherwise discover) that you were not an eligible purchaser at the time you placed your order or that you have not observed all of the conditions applicable to your purchase, you authorise Apple:

- If you placed your order by credit card, to charge to your credit card the difference between the amount you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the Apple Store, in effect on the date that you placed your order; and

- If you paid by a means other than credit card, to (a) invoice you for the difference between the amount that you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the Apple Store, payable in fifteen days from the date of the invoice, and (b), should you fail to pay the invoice when due, institute legal action against you in a court of competent jurisdiction, with the prevailing party entitled to attorneys’ fees.

Should Apple not offer to the general public the specific products that you purchased at the Apple Store, your credit card will be charged or you will be invoiced the difference between the amount you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the closest equivalent goods at the Apple Store, in effect on the date that you placed your order.
