Size still matter when it comes to conflict. You can afford to suffer heavy casualties while a smaller force might be able to inflict more damage but they can’t replace people who are lost. No matter how much you rely on tech, humans are still needed. One of the reasons why Germany and Japan lost WW2 is due to their inability to replace what they lost including manpower.

Singapore’s military are geared for defence and not offence. They have lots of state of the art military equipment but it’s geared to fight the war in Singapore only. When people rank military power, they look at all aspect.
