Waiter Training in Japanese Restaurants, in Malaysia

To what extent do waiters in Japanese restaurants in Malaysia receive training, especially in terms of language? I’m curious because, while I know it's not completely absent, they clearly know how to greet customers as soon as they enter the restaurant.

First rules, yell when customers walk in. And yell when they pay
