ayam been thinking to do part time grab

last time ayam done uber

looking now har, seems like many requirements needed for grab. need all the PSV license, puspakom etc etc.

for those doing part time, is it worth it to you? now ayam need attend PSV licence training but thinking if it is worth all the trouble to do so since not gonna do it full time.

last time ayam also do part time

need to take psv (free from grab), yearly puspakok inspection

barely break even, do 1 year already gantung kunci

also yesterday asked a grab driver, macam profit lesser already

last time can 20/h easily, but nowadays its about 15/h

change car status from AB/AD to AH
personal car insurance + e-hailing insurance

kalau you sanggup buat semua diatas, boleh teruskan.

any side income to the main income is a good thing provided it does not harm anything else.

you do ehailing will affect car resale value. Not sure if it's true.

I did up to the 4W tests in grab. just left the PSV n all the other requirement.

however i'm not having much time to spare . wonder if its worth all the hassle. asking sifus here 1st.


last time during uber it was easy . just register in app and can start take passengers already. but that was a long time ago .

Not worth it now, waste of time and money only.

Good if fewer people join grab, it’ll teach grab not to be too greedy with the commissions.

that pretty normal SOP for grab, u know they are strict on these

if u talking about sat and sun work, be my guest

at least 1 day u can get 100-200-300-400 then minus some petrol, change engine oil, tyre and food cause u need eat to continue your work then net profit around 10% or 15% or 20% from your income

u also need to keep your car clean and tidy so your guest wont feel so dirty

then u need have good eye during night time cause many boomer and OG boomer have bad eye sight after their 40-45 age

then during festival period, u face traffic, complaint, cancel ride etc etc and u will need a fb group to avoid traffic jam period ( right now home expo , velocity area going to be jam as hell and if u happen to take these order, try to cancel it because if one job u work around 2-3 hours, u loss a lot potential income, normally 1 hour ppl can done 2-3 ride which is around RM40-RM90 )

then u see a lot taxi wait at KLIA TBS , luring customer , these one ride can earn rm50-100 iirc

then repeat these 365 days , 80 years . then go health check up then see your lung, eye, kidney not working well

that part time small income no worth the time & energy.

Nowadays got RM3+ fare including pick up distance. Is it worth it?

Grab is only worth it during peak hours when there's Surge or Grab pays incentives. Outside of those hours you are doing charity.

E-hailing insurance also very expensive now. Last time my insurance provider only charge extra RM150 or so but now it's RM300+ or RM400+.

Not many drivers that time so when I order Uber I can be assigned same driver every few days.

Still remember a driver (forgot his name though). His oyen Myvi already clocked >300,000 km mileage and he occasionally do gig job bringing stuffs into SG. And he's doing all these while still holding a full time job in Majlis Bandaraya. Amazing

Grab memang utk part time.

Still worth to do grab for side income. just allocate few hours daily u can make more than rm100 for KV. For other area still can get rm20 per hour (sales). no need to do marketing and promotion. just on the apps and wait for job incoming. No need to put extra effort and energy, just drive your car and earns money.

It still relevant and still one of the easiest way to make money today.

Use 2 cars for ehailing before..not affected teh RV. I am among first driver for uber. Then grab and now gantung kunci

Part time ok, don't do this as your main income.

I'm a part timer myself. Consider this, depending on the area and your luck, most jobs are less than RM10. Say you are driving 20 trips per day, most of the time you won't get RM200 nett income, at most you get like RM120 - RM180 at least this is what i am getting on weekends.

All the income you get that day isn't totally nett. This is just revenue before minus the gas money to be used for the next day, credit top up and expenditure. This one belum kira maintenance kereta lagi bang.

Consider also what car you're driving and which city you plan to do Grab. Expensive and fuel guzzling cars might not worth it considering you also most likely have to pick up trip with RM5 fare.

I drive Honda City which makes me eligible for Grabcar plus. But then out of 20 - 30 trips I am doing on weekends, only like 2-4 of my bookings are Grabcar plus.

Don't do it full time.. I have a friend doing full time and he said can't make money anymore.. Not like those good old days where u can make RM 5k easily

Regarding kerenah penumpang, be ready to get customers who might dirty your car (always Indon and Banggala construction workers that work in construction sites are doing this, they all pijak pasir and tanah then enter your car just like that, making your car dirty) entitled smokers who will reek your car with cigarette smoke smell, drunk or drugged passengers, bau ketiak, bau makanan, customers that rushes you and tells you to drive fast, customers that insist on longer route while refusing to pay more and customers that eat in your car without even asking you if they are allowed to and so on.

Before i gantung kunci. I did grab as part time. Set location to my desired place. Atleast can cover some petrol and duit makan for that day.

What to do since you lepas merokok terus masuk our car, stinks our car so bad that we have to stop driving for a while, like an hour or 2 just to wait the smell to go away before we fetch the next passenger. If only you don't stink up our car we might be able to make 2-4 trips during that time period

Oh orang lama ni pernah drive Uber. Ok lah you should already know about kerenah passenger.

I think you should install Maxim also because with Maxim at least you can tapis jobs and pick any jobs you like. Can bid. The only problem with Maxim is that harga lantai bawah KM so you need to bid. Jangan tambang RM3.50 also sapu. Also you need to pay Maxim RM2.50 per month because installing the app means you sewa the app kata Maxim.

I already said in my previous post that I take sweets after I smoke.. There's no smell at all.. I don't smoke those cheap cigarettes.. I sit in my friend's car who don't smoke and none of them complain.. Also I sit in other Grab cars also none off air con and wind down window.. Only that particular sohai Grab driver..

It's true wat. Many drivers have to stop driving for a while just to get rid of the smell.

Your friends don't complain doesn't mean they like it.

They just suck it up, as with most Grab driver with smelly passengers.

Next time be considerate, at least before entering somebody's else car and other people's properties. Most Grab driver even if they smoke they won't do it even in their own car with. Some do, some don't. At least you as a stranger, learn to be respectful at people especially if you are in their property. Ini tak, you think the driver is a sohai and rate them 1 star just because they roll their windows down just because you smell of cigarettes. Not everybody likes to smell the smell of cigarettes smoke.

What is the purpose of No Smoking signs in many places then? Tell me.

Bruh cheap cigarette or expensive cigarette they all stink. Sweets just freshens your breath they don't mask the second hand smoke that sticks on your clothing. Weird logic right there mate

These, thanks to the demand and protest by the taxi association groups when e-hailing was first introduced. Now, I see some taxis also do e-hailing.
