To all those that uses this road for their daily commute, the road is now open.

Going into KL is 3 lanes via underpass while going out of KL is on top also 3 lanes. This route has never been this smooth before 👍🏻

True. Have to give credit where it is due. They wrapped up the works really quickly.

But it is still not 100% done. I went thru the road just now and saw the barricades jutting out quite precariously.

that day just passed by, quite amaze that has becomes 3 lanes. Going to Pudu site, before reaching Pudu, have option to go Jalan Loke Yew.

But from Cheras go down to the roaundabout only uturn available.

This is by far the best this road has ever been. Be thankful la. Hope they resurface the entire stretch all the way till the Sg Besi airport Then, it will be really nice.

Just pass by it at 9pm. I didnt know its already open. Suddenly wonder why traffic soo smooth. Before this even night time got some queue to the lencongan.

Traffic is smooth at 7am....good job DBKL!👍🏻

The redesign is well done. The tunnel is now fully used for those travelling to KL. Used to be 2 lanes each of which now is 3 lanes for 1 direction.

For the direction out of KL, 2 lanes enroach to the section which turns off to Cheras. They added 1 lane (elevated from the previous lane in tunnel) to make up 3 lanes in total. Just need to watch if this creates a bottleneck in the evening peak period where those CBK going to Cheras taking 1 of the 3 lanes to cut queue.

Not that la. But this stretch is eased with the change. It has been congested for years and finally, some breakthru. It was still clear at about an hour ago which is not heard off for this road during peak hours.

Noice, it's faster than I tot.

At first i thought why only do 1 side, and how are they gonna complete it by end of this month.

Actually it was completed earlier.

I used it a few weeks back.
Maybe begining of October.

the target completion was 1 Oct.

Jalan Sungai Besi menghala ke Sg. Besi/ Petaling Jaya (berhadapan Fraser Business Park) dan Bulatan Loke Yew akan ditutup kepada semua lalu lintas secara berperingkat mulai 2 Oktober 2023 sehingga 1 Oktober 2024 ekoran kerja-kerja pengubahsuaian dan pembinaan jambatan di Bulatan Loke Yew

the whole stretch is orange to red colour...on a weekend 9AM

I did not realize that it had opened earlier. Was taking the Chan Sow Lin route rather given the jam. But ytd, saw traffic to be smooth hence confirmed open.

But like I mentioned, not fully open. Just be careful of the barricades which are still on the road.

I definitely used it (the completed roads) last week to Thursday night 17th Oct.

That was the second time I used it.

Can't remember the first time.

Any one passed this route? I saw on waze that it is now closed - both sides.

Finally... Reduced traffice by 20 minutes.


This is temporary, after a year, back to normal

Too many cars delivered per month..

At least another 10K cars added on Malaysian road per month , that is 330 new vehicle on the road added every day

Problem is old cars are still on the road
