The redesign is well done. The tunnel is now fully used for those travelling to KL. Used to be 2 lanes each of which now is 3 lanes for 1 direction.

For the direction out of KL, 2 lanes enroach to the section which turns off to Cheras. They added 1 lane (elevated from the previous lane in tunnel) to make up 3 lanes in total. Just need to watch if this creates a bottleneck in the evening peak period where those CBK going to Cheras taking 1 of the 3 lanes to cut queue.

Not that la. But this stretch is eased with the change. It has been congested for years and finally, some breakthru. It was still clear at about an hour ago which is not heard off for this road during peak hours.

Bcoz they expect later pipe maintenance korek road lagi..then is jkr korek road. The sub contractor to pave road lagi.

Actually it was completed earlier.

I used it a few weeks back.
Maybe begining of October.

the target completion was 1 Oct.

but it was still jam last saturday i use google maps
the whole stretch is orange to red colour...on a weekend 9AM

I did not realize that it had opened earlier. Was taking the Chan Sow Lin route rather given the jam. But ytd, saw traffic to be smooth hence confirmed open.

But like I mentioned, not fully open. Just be careful of the barricades which are still on the road.

I definitely used it (the completed roads) last week to Thursday night 17th Oct.

That was the second time I used it.

Can't remember the first time.
