Apart from not being valid on peak periods etc (as with most hotel vouchers) .. any special terms attached to it like need to show a company issued id for bookings etc ?

terms conditions are only applicable in the purview of the Hotel, St Regis which standard known cant/ won't be able to check-in not on NYE, Christmas etc apart from those special days/ occasions - I think you can proceed staying/ check-in with no issues.
