i just bought myself a FZ18 .....hehe.. still playing with all the settings
i found tat the default brightness of the LCD to be very misleading..where the pics taken are much more darker than it shown on the LCD itself =.= so i changed it to the dimmest n it worked!
when/where do u guys usually use the iA mode? i found it pretty useless during night shots ...where it increased higher ISO n resulted noisy pics
anyone knows wat the tip of using in M-mode. i tried to change the aperture & shutter speed according to wat i've learnt from book. but the pics turned out to be white-out / extremely blur.
could anyone clear my doubts as well ??
Added on December 12, 2007, 12:22 am830808 - i've not tried shooting video with it yet...but i'm pretty sure not to shoot video during night time...another thing is it cant zoom while u're shooting video. btw, the cam is mean for shooting excellent photos more than shooting videos.

kevinyong84 - i think is because of the resolution , CCD sensor n leica lense it uses. main problem is cant zoom while shooting ==
but their full HD videocam is able to capture high detail crispy video coz using the 3CCD tech.

ewin - it's uncompressed file for ppl who need to do some editing using those image editing s/w. mostly for publishing/advertising purposes where the print out quality is extremely important. this format mostly found in SLRs.

high speed type class 4 the min data transfer rate of class 4 is 4 MB/sec Max write speed under optimal conditions is approx. 5MB/sec
btw, i'm using a mediocre spec laptop ,still i didnt find it to be slow while transferring. ^^

QUOTE(Cloudx @ Dec 30 2007, 12:47 AM) Normally slow shutter shots u'll need tripod unless u have super steady hand..if not ur shots gonna be blurry. The slower the shutter means more light going to reach your lens thus making it bright. U can try ask others more on this as im also a beginner i understand tat....but none of settings worked... all seem overexposed wanna test out M-mode also...the result is kinda weird too this look fine on my pc...but after resizing side of petals seem be to edgy This post has been edited by monochrome: Dec 31 2007, 12:44 AM
