Just downgrade my TZ7 firmware from 1.2 to 1.1 so that I can use any third-part batteries. The original battery sucks. Test with a couple of batteries purchased thru ebay and Amazon and ALL works beautifully.

My extras for the Panasonic Lumix TZ7 just arrived ...
  This battery has a higher mAh rating than the original and works with firmware 1.2 as claimed by the company. Total damage inclusive of DHL delivery US$57.09 from Newegg daily price shocker sales  |
