I am using a Panasonic DMC-FS3. I have a problem with my camera..
In interligent Auto mode and normal mode, i try to shoot something with bright light like yellow / white lights, there will be prppleish blueish lines in the screen(right on top and below the light). But it will not be shown in the photo taken. I checked all settings and all seemed to be fine like 8mp, auto iso, and so on.
In another case, i tried to take video(fire crackers in sunway pyramid) using this fs3, the blueish and purpleish lines will be shown in the recorded video
This is my question, is this normal / manufacturing defects? Able to claim warranty to fix it?

This is common in all digital camera. My LX-3 also has same problem. I think other camera brand also the same. Just don't point it at bright light. It is also not advisable to point your camera at bright light source for a long time, i.e. the sun. It will smoke your sensor. This post has been edited by Aurora: Jan 7 2009, 07:30 PM
