Sorry, You dont Understand How Live-streaming work at all.

1. Even a Lapsap phone capable to capture 1080p 30fps today. Which, for live streaming, already considered top end.

2. Obviously you didnt setup properly the entire streaming process. I give you example :

3. For Max Quality, you will need buffer time. up to even 60 seconds. ( audience are not sync with you, with 60 delay )

4. This is to ensure they have smooth viewing experience, while your setup has 60 second buffer if there is a drop in connection quality, your setup able to catch up.

TLDR.

1. Which Live streaming service u use? Did you expect all streaming service allow you to send High Def Video?

2. I dont know your requirement. If want do it free with 1080p quality. Youtube is the only way, there are many alternative, which is not suitable for newbie.

3. Download OBS Studio if you streaming from PC.

The osbot this guy recommended seems good, I like the follow focus function. EOS M50 mark ii is an overkilled in my opinion for online classes. I've tried to do Zoom online connected with my Fuji XT2, even that was overkilled. If your internet connection is not fast enough, zoom will automatically reduce your video resolution. High resolution video quality could also be a burden for your students' network if they don't have high speed internet also.

If your laptop is anything within 3-5 years old, it should already be able to stream at 1080p which most laptops these days can with decent quality for things like zoom or online classes. As the others have said, no point getting a top end camera when the line/receiving end isn't going to appreciate it anyway or doesn't have that capacity to receive it.

If you'd still like to improve on how you look in the videos, adding cheap video led lights to light up your face and your backgrounds might actually be a cheaper and more effective way of improving how you look in the feed. This is not purely on the output but just making the profile look more pleasant

Oh, since you already have the lighting equipment, then you're already halfway there. Can try to feather the light source so that it doesn't spill so much to the background. This creates a slightly deeper shadow on your features but some people like that. If not, move the source closer when feathering

What smart phone do u use? Are u using the front camera? If yes, then definitely bad lo.

My partner is conducting classes with an HP laptop last year. This year she switched to Macbook and never been happier with the image quality. The dynamic range is better, no settings were tweaked. Just login as usual the its a lot better.

Then I would suggest you to save up more and get a macbook air M2. The price is around 4k.

Worth every penny for an online tutor for you. Affordable and a good workhorse.
