This is going to be a flex but I can’t share with people irl but I realize I’ll hit Rm 2 mil in my EPF account by the end of this year!

How I achieved this:

The obvious is that I have a high paying job. I never job hopped (same company since graduation) and purely got to where I am through internal promotions and increments.

Self contribution - I only discovered self contribution a few years ago. Since then I’ll max out the Rm100k self contribution

Never withdrawing from my epf - I have not touched my epf at all eventhough I can technically withdraw anything above 1 mil

Another obvious is the compounding effect! It took me 10 years to get to 1 mil (also lower salary then) but only 3 years to get to the second mil. My dividend alone was Rm80k last year and this will just keep growing. My total contribution last year was almost rm400k including self contribution and dividend.

Edit: I find it so interesting that everyone assumes I’m a guy. Not a single comment used she. I’m not a guy btw. Women can earn good money too.

Let say she started working since age 20 with salary 50K per month. Work til age 35 now, 15 years.
Can reach how much in epf if without self contribution in 15 years?

Dun think she can get 10K-15K per month salary during 1st 5 year starting job.

dunno correct or not but I calculated it to be 270K per month 
based on the flexible account of 14,800 / 5 months = 2960 per month going into flexible account which is 10% of the assumed 11% contribution which is 29,700 per month

oh wait didnt take into account her self contribution of 100k.
