I hope this can help Penangites who are having a hard time deciding where to purchase their console from gaming shops in Penang.
The items I bought are:
Playstation 3 160GB CECH-2506A Class White
1 Beat Sketch Game
1 PS Eye
2 Move Controllers
This is my experience during my survey.
GameMart (One Stop)
I know this shop has the highest popularity in here for Penangite, that is why this is the first place I went to survey. I went at night, the guy served me is ah tatt, but he said he is the 'smaller' tatt, don't know much about that. Communication is okay and friendly although he is playing game when I visit, he didn't turn back to play his game in the middle of conversation. However he didn't contact me although I've leave my contact for him and asked him to call me when he got stock, too bad, or else I might have bought the console from them.
I don't really want to rate this as my time spent in there is very short
ACE Hardware (Prangin Mall)
The lady who serves me is quite friendly, able to answer questions in good manner, not having a good technical knowledge but acceptable as a normal salesperson or shop keeper. However, the downside of this shop is the boss and the environment. Firstly, I don't understand why smoking is allowed in a shopping mall, when I go in the shop I need to suffer the smell of smoke, it is because a fella is smoking just right outside the shop, playing PS3. Secondly, although the lady worker is quite friendly, I can hear the boss is scolding tons of bad words from time to time when he is answering his phone. Maybe he is having a bad day, but I don't know. However that turn me away seriously, I don't want to get scolded like that when I come back next time if my PS3 has any problems.
Unfortunately that day I don't really know what I'm doing I place RM50 as deposit there, end up I don't want to buy from them because I'm having a dilemma due to their service and some reviews I read in this topic. I went back to the shop to buy a Dual Shock 3 to spend the RM50 deposit, too bad they only have 3 colors, which I don't want, but I have to buy it anyway. No comment on the older lady in that shop when I bought the Dual Shock 3, her service = What? Ok, Bye.

Game Tower (Prangin Mall)
This is a funny experience, I was served by the boss if I'm not mistaken, a fatty guy. He is so damn rushing to close a sales, and he counted the price wrongly for me, for TWICE! At first I thought "Wow you have the lowerst price ever" end up when I ask him again, he calculated wrongly, his price was the highest in Penang as far as I've surveyed, lol. The only thing worth mentioning is their shop is quite well decorated and has a good ambient for a gaming shop, however that doesn't really matter.

Marionet (Bukit Jambul Complex)
This shop is hopeless. All their stocks are looking old, there are like already 1 years putting there and collected a lot of dust. The guy serves me has totally no intention of doing business. When I'm asking question he just simply reply and keep on doing his things on his laptop. The worst thing is he call his friend to chit chat in the middle of our conversation? WTF. Their price is okay but with that kind of service, don't expect they will care about you after you buy from them.

G Electronics & Electricals (Prangin Mall)
This is the only shop that has presence on Lowyat. I bought my items in this shop. I can say they reply to my PM in details. When I visit their shop, I was served by Melinda and Cai, both of them are friendly and helpful. Cai has good technical knowledge but not much software knowledge. Their price may be higher but negotiable. I would recommend this shop to everyone if you want good value. Value = Price divided by service. They have good price with good service, some shops may offer you a very good price but give you awful service, thus resulting in a bad value.

This is only my personal experience as what you may encounter would be difference from mine, as you might served by different worker. This is only a reference for people who is doing a research or survey about gaming shops in Penang. Hope this help.
