Hi.

I am new here. I just wonder if anyone of you know have any problem with the PS gamepad. I bought my PS3 3 months ago from a guy name Ah Tat in Gamemaster, Prangin mall, with extra 'China made' gamepad. Incidentally or not, BOTH gamepads broke down 2 weeks ago. The 'fake' gamepad have '1' and '2' lights on when I turned it on, thereby not usable. The original gamepad just wont recharge. I needed to plug it into the USB port to use it. I brought them back to the salesperson for repair. Two weeks later, I was informed both gamepads CANNOT be repaired. I was told they are still under warranty. He refused to replace it. To the salesperson, warranty means 'repair with no charge', and does not mean 'replacement if beyond repair'. What kind of warranty is this?

So Gone are my two gamepads. Anyone have encountered similar problem? I hope other people will be more careful when buying PS3, especially those under 'dodgy warranty'.

Thanks Dark NT and Alex13 for the input. I called up the salesperson to convey my disgust over the gamepads. He told me he would discuss it with his boss to replace me with two 'fakes'. What a way to do business! Anyway, I just bought a new gamepad from Sony today.

Thanks guys. I will try using a new USB to charge the original DS3. As for the fake origianl, I think the problem lies with Firmware 3.0.
