As long as you buy from Game Mart (1 stop)
or Ace (Prangin), I don't believe there will be any problem. In fact any shops listed on page 1 is pretty safe. A few things to take note when buying PS2 : 1) Does the package comes with memory card? if not, bear in mind a genuine memory card is not cheap, around RM50-60 2) Usually the additional controller (so called freebie) is fake. Fake ones sucks so you may wanna top up to get a genuine one Also make sure you get the latest model, ie the 9 series, you can easily know it, because it has no power adaptor (built in). |

VGA box is not popular here...
Can get from Play Asia but i really doubt its worth it, in my opinion just go buy a small TV with component input and connect to PS2 using component cable. |

My experience with Game Galaxy was bad..
I asked the aunty the price of the red ps2, and she shouted the question to an uncle, the uncle said something and they were both like shouting at each other. I don't find that friendly... maybe they are in a fight and was the bad timing.. and most importantly, the quote i got for the red ps2 was very expensive. |

QUOTE(thinkerbell84 @ Jan 8 2010, 10:44 AM) Hi Penangaites The quotation you get is seriously overpriced (I assume you were quoted on a Korea/Jpn set modded to English).I'm planning to buy a set of Wii (not sure US or Japan version). I'm here because i'm seeking advice from all of you who i beleive familiar with these. I went to Megamall yesterday and they offer price of RM999 with 1 player controller and crack. Do you know if i can find any place from Penang for better offer. Go to page 1 of this thread to find vendors with reasonable pricing. Right now most of the Wii sold in Penang are Korea/Jpn set modded to US (English). Since you are getting a modded set, it does not really matter as long as the menu is in english. Things to take note when buying a Wii (modded) : - ask for free firmware update service. If you don't ask, likely they will charge you for future firmware update, unless you DIY. - make sure you get the voltage adaptor (220v to 110v) - listen carefully to the instructions of how to play ahem disc, the disadvantage of getting a modded wii is that you need to be careful when playing, there are 1-2 things that you cannot do or it will brick your Wii - warranty generally is 3 months Lastly... buy originals lar. I got Umbrella Chronicles for sale Added on January 8, 2010, 11:30 am QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Jan 8 2010, 11:12 AM) That's A LOT of pennies. This post has been edited by Dark NT: Jan 8 2010, 11:30 AM |

Have not seen 0% interest package in Penang.. Ipoh I know got.
But to me, if we opt for the 0% interest package, then the selling price is always higher. But good for buyers who are tight on cash. |

Sony Center in QBM already stopped selling PS3 games. Guess they realised that they cannot compete with other shops.

Noticed the Wii counter in QBM Jusco is gone.
Probably no business since can't compete with game shops in QBM. 1 place less to buy Ori nintendo games |

Do be careful with your purchase with Mario (if you decided to), I was once sold a used item, at new price and was told it was new.
