Hi all

I would like to know a good store, or area where I should go for hunting PC parts. As in, where the stocks generally confirm got for whatever u need, not just popular items.. I'm building a new rig, so need almost everything.

I tried checking some popular stores that have their own websites. Their stocks vary wildly, so I thought instead of buying separate shipment, might as well try go to stores and buy everything in one day...

Being honest, All this while, I've always just ordered from a random store I find online and just pick up after they build for me. I wanna try this challenge for myself now after my old PC died (lol) biggrin.gif

also, I've never been to lowyat plaza, so Idk much about the stores there or if its still the best place to go. But yeah, wanna get out my comfort zone and try something new.

Kindly advise, will be much appreciated. Many thanks!

Etex/Enotex and JustIT is in KL center and they have a good range of stuff in their shopee site. For P2P you can ask forum sifu Myway1985 as long as you have a spec or budget in mind.

Big shops, can try TMT or Viewnet or Jayacom, all of them main based in Lowyat. IINM they might have branches in Nilai/Sremban

Lowyat plaza loh of course, try not to go too far lorong behind mostly operate by foreigner selling, used, old new, repaired etc laptops things, 2 decade ago more funny can see manyx2 modified side water bottle ink printer and random pirated cd/dvd etc

If you do go lorong behind see something use very quick sneak peak with your eye and keep moving forward if you really interested only stop by and ask if not they keep sales you and become very annoying.

Try stay in front role shop if you don't have any specific thing needed

back in the day (even before lowyat forum was born), i used to go to the big players (like c-zone, startec, sri, viewnet) and take the physical price lists to compare prices. likely there will be some parts that is out of stock so will end up buying a few pieces from different shops.

nowadays, I just buy online (from shops with physical stores), mostly from JustIT, DotaTech, TMT & Asuka.

Buy from reputable shops, usually they are authorized dealers (to ease RMA process when needed), but your experience may vary.

If you're hunting for PC parts, Lowyat Plaza is definitely a solid choice! It’s packed with stores, so you’ll have a good chance of finding everything you need, from the popular stuff to more specialized components. I remember when I built my last rig, I spent a whole day there just bouncing between shops, comparing prices, and chatting with the staff—they’re usually super helpful if you have questions.
