For old landed house (double storey) in KL, where the floor plan is missing, how to proceed if want to renovate the house (including extension)?

plan is:

re-do wiring
re-do plumbing
extension
basically big reno

old developer not in business already, so unable get a copy. Whats next? Do i hire an architect to re-do the detailed floor plan and ask them to draw the new extension at the same time?

how much will it costs to draw the floor plan from scratch?

If you are lucky the records department will have a copy of the layout but I doubt they have it since it’s an old house … only nowadays they have a digital format copy ..

Yeap the best way is to hire architect or registered draftman to do measured drawings and incorporate the extension area for Buidling plan (BP approval )

Cost to remeasure depends on this situation
1) size of house
2) type of house ( terrace , semi-D, bunglow . Corner ? Intermediate ? End lot ?)
3) how big is the extension .. does it effect the overall house internal and external ? Or just simple carporch or just front or back extension only not effecting the internal centre of the unit space . See the complexity of your design extension .
Hope this help
Cheers mate
