The confirmation of the return of the iconic Princess Diaries franchise with its third movie, is a dream in itself. But it is so much more of a miracle to us Malaysians, as 'Princess Diaries 3' will be helmed by Malaysian director Adele Lim!

The third installment will also see American actress Anne Hathaway reprising her role as Mia Thermopolis, the quirky-teen-turned-queen of the fictional kingdom of Genovia.

The acclaimed Malaysian filmmaker has also directed the Asian-led comedy 'Joy Ride' in 2023, and wrote the screenplay for the 2018 hit movie 'Crazy Rich Asians'. Hathaway will produce the movie under her production company Somewhere Pictures.
