Not his own money, investors money.

So he can open as many as possible of branches until the money dries out.

Many influencer-based FnB business works like that, so they close down once the investors stop pumping money.

Maybe a smart investors. They know majority of orang Malaysia can be easily influenced to buy something overpriced and overhyped.

Maybe they have already earned back a portion of their investment from the first-day traffic at Uncle Roger restaurant. High profit margin fry rice, etc.

Hype can only bring you so far; to sustain, you need something more to offer than hype.

Even if you can re-coup your capex, you'll still need to sustain your opex. Pavilion's rent is not cheap yo.
