The delivery is restricted to Singapore address only. The delivery is free of charge though...and they will send it to you within 24 hours.
I was in lecture when the guy called me and asked where's my block. I told him to put it in the residence reception counter. After finish lecture I quickly rush back to retrieve it.  tongue.gif
No. You don't need a student card to enjoy the education discount. They don't even require you to key in your student card number or what so ever. Even aunty uncle also can enjoy this discount.  rclxms.gif

But you need to agree that you are a student though (by clicking the 'I Agree' button before proceeding). I think they can do something to you if you abuse it.

i think this price for MacBook using Intel GMA 950 chipset... they celaring out stock for MacBook with latest Intel X3100 chipset to comes in... go n compare specs between malaysia site and US site... their MacBook using X3100...

I thought all new 2.2ghz Santa Rosa platform comes with the new X1300 card?

How can the new 2.2ghz one still have GMA950 chipset installed? Unless you mean they are clearing the 2.16ghz ones..

Edit:
applemalaysia's website sucks sleep.gif

Look at the MB section. The upper portion says "with speeds revving up to 2.16ghz" and at the bottom of the page (at the 'Macbook at a glance' part), it has the latest spec. Don't know which one to believe tongue.gif

Amen brother tongue.gif I feel the same as you.

Btw, I got a hunch that those MB that's going to be sold in PC fair will be the old ones. Just to clear stock you know? But I'll still go and check it out.

Should be.

The previous GMA950 is Intel's production while the new X1300 is by ATI.

Dear all macbook user
I would like to ask some opinion from all of you

I'm going to buy a macbook soon , (maybe these few days time)
propose is for making some video and picture editing with the imovie
and iweb if i am not mistaken for the name there .

can the macbook handle my work ? I'm in budget, so cant afford a MBP

and I would like to make a portable as well ,
I like to  doing my iweb while in the cafe shop which have a wifi on them
or video editing while on my vacation

I'm getting a santa rosa macbook 2.2ghz (maybe)
so like to ask if some macbook user tell me some of the opinion
*
A Macbook would perfectly handle that load of work. I would recommend you to at least upgrade your RAM to 2GB though.

A Macbook is more portable than a MBP. Just get a sleeve for protection and you're good to go.

Yes it would run smoothly. But you will feel the toil on your MB if you multitask heavily.

One guy told me that getting 2x1GB RAM sticks are only RM100 each, thus making the upgrade RM200 only.

Don't buy it from Apple of course. Those guys are bullshitting you. A lot of people here bought theirs from non Apple resellers and are working fine on their machines.

Go to those normal hardware shops, and get MB specific ones. Those are cheap, only RM100 per 1GB stick.

Let me search for you what type you should buy.

Added on November 15, 2007, 12:15 pmOk, here is the RAM specifics from Apple's site and a guide on how to install it your ownself as well:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303721

Further read, it might be for the old MB black but still a good read:

All these are isolated case. You can't expect Apple to be perfect as well.

But one thing good is, if there is any problem during the 1 year warranty period, Apple will do everything to make sure your machine works fine. Even if it means changing the whole machine to a new one.

Not really sure on that cause I never used iWeb/iMovie before.

But it shouldn't lag. Apple won't be dumb enough to build a machine that is not compatible with their software.

Upgrade RAM la, should be safe if you do that.

I'll be attending the PC Fair in KL this weekend. I'll ask around if they are giving any freebies or any other promotion with the purchase of MB and MBP.

I'll post here if there is/isn't smile.gif

rx330: I highly suggest you get your facts right before coming in here to thrust all your anger at meaningless arguments.

The black MB does still come with an extra 40GB of HD space as compared to the mid range counterpart. Unless you have evidence which says otherwise.
