I bought a VPS in China with address 8.134.53.4

I found that accessing to vps is hard and slow, then tried ping with 61% packet loss under my TIME broadband in Penang

Then my friend in KL with Maxis got only 10% packet loss when pinging this address.

Any warm friend here can let me know your ISP and ping result?

Thanks!

Wahlao you are correct in asking. I was using Cloudflare WARP when testing.

When I turn off WARP, then the packet losses are 75%.

All plans comes with one /64 public IPv6 prefix
500 Mbps and above comes with one public IPv4 address

This is unfortunately one of TIME's problems that has been there for a long time

their connection to China is rather poor, slow speeds, high pings, high packet loss

Here's my ping, 161.142.x.x ip range on TIME
CODE

~$ ping 8.134.53.4
PING 8.134.53.4 (8.134.53.4) 56(84) bytes of data.

60 packets transmitted, 60 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 408.615/416.632/443.941 ms

Latency seems to be worse than TM or TIME, but no packets lost at sea.
How about IPv6 on TIME? I’m assuming the VPS provider also issued you an IPV6 address.

Pretty well known that TIME has shitty connection to China. The only one that’s decent is China Unicom, u can try with speedtest. Tailscale VPN back to MY from China with TIME, only when the ISP is China Unicom I can use it fine with decent speed. China Telecom is super slow.

This is a well-known long story for TIME connection to China especially China Telecom

China Unicom and China Mobile seems to be okay so far

AFAIK For China Telecom : The problem is actually on both CT and TIME side. CT only have 5Gbps bandwidth with NTT in Singapore and TIME uses NTT to route to China Telecom (mostly) which passed through Singapore which resulting an all-day 50-60% packet loss
For IPV6 you would see the ping is lower but it's more worst because NTT and CT only have 1 / 2 Gbps bandwidth for IPV6
