QUOTE(FappyBird @ Sep 26 2024, 07:56 PM) I need a range, without any data how am I supposed to make any judgement. It is best to set your expectation first. What you want it to perform, at what settings, in what conditions (temperature, noise, aesthetic).Let's say I wanna build around r7 and a 4080...how much would it cost The other way around is max the spec with your budget. |

This was my build:Let's say I wanna build around r7 and a 4080...how much would it cost Ryzen 7 7800X3D MSI RTX 4080 Super 16GB Ventus 3X OC MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR5 6000MHz 16GBx2 CL30 ID Cooling Space SL360 LCD Samsung 990 Pro NVME 2TB SSD Corsair RM850e Antec C5 ARGB Case (cheap coz include 7 ARGB fans w/controller + aquarium) Asus TUF VG27AQL3A Monitor Sleeved cables (Mobo + 12vhpwr) all the above for RM11.7k. So add/minus the price with the components that you want from there. FappyBird liked this post

My personal experience with water cooling is that if you are really enthusiastic and capable of maintaining it, it can be a great option. However, even all-in-one (AIO) cooling systems can be a hassle in terms of reliability. Personally, I have never used a custom radiator, only AIO systems, and I have never had one that was reliable enough to last for 3 years. Now, I now use a Noctua air cooling .

Logically, moving parts will wear and tear. Air cooler is best for install-and-forget. |

Some bloke claimed his AIO pump could run for 5 years. How do you know when each time it kaputs?QUOTE(samftrmd @ Sep 28 2024, 02:52 PM) Hmm.. why that 4090 looks much smaller? I always thought it was a huge GPU. |

I used Corsair single 120, NZXT, ID cooling 360 rad, Artic Freezer 360 rad all fail within 1-3 yrs... symptom .. random shutdown, cannot boot ... all very random... got my last Arctic Liquid Frezer III RMAed and changed to Noctua now.. |
